51st. Annual Skip Jack races on Deal Island, Maryland
Posted in General Discussion on a daily basis on September 7th, 2010 by adminThe weather was beautiful and the festival was wonderful. Enjoyed it very much. Here are a number of images.
In case you don’ t know, Skip Jacks are fishing vessels used to dredge oysters in the Chesapeake Bay. They are a dying
breed of boat. These have been refurbished and maintained to be able to stay sea worthy.
Sunset was just beautifully done.
There were 12 total Skip Jacks that raced.
